Information on Genealogy Resources at the Carnegie Public Library

The Carnegie Public Library and the Gentry County Genealogical Society have newspapers on microfilm available in the Local History/Genealogy room at the Library.  It is staffed by volunteers on an occasional basis throughout the week.  They also handle all history book selling. The Genealogy Society is not online nor do they have an email but we've been able to put up what information we can through the Library's website. Click here for a complete listing of newspapers available in the Genealogy/Local History room.

If you are unable to visit the Library, all requests for book purchases and any other genealogical research/questions should be snail mailed to the Gentry County Genealogical Society here at the Library's address.  They will be able to answer your questions regarding the books they have for sale as well as provide genealogy information.  They do not charge for research services, only copies made.  However, they are VERY happy to receive donations.

The Genealogy/Local History room is open during regular Library hours.

Volunteers are beginning to scan some of the Library's and Society's holdings into digital format. We will add these as they become available.
